The Department of Transportation and Logistics provides multiple parking options for faculty and staff, on both the Medical Center and River campuses.

Through My Parking Online you can:

  • Register for a parking permit. Permits can also be purchased in person at the Parking office.
  • Appeal and pay citations
  • Add your name to parking lot waitlists
  • Register an alternate vehicle
New Employees

Medical Center and River Campus faculty, staff, and students who want to park in University lots must register their vehicles and purchase a permit (employees must pay for their own permit). This can be completed through My Parking Online,  a personalized and secure online service.

Through My Parking Online you can:

  • Register for a parking permit;
  • Appeal and pay citations;
  • Add to lot waitlists; and
  • Register an alternate vehicle.

Employee Parking – Medical Center Lots

Medical Center employees who want to park on the Medical Center campus must register their vehicles and purchase a permit (employees must pay for their own permit). This can be completed through My Parking Online.

Employees working the second or third shift also have the option to park in the following lots:

  • Lot 33-College Town Garage after 2 p.m.
  • Lot 3-Kendrick North, between 5 p.m. and 6 a.m., Monday-Friday
  • Lot 8-Medical School/MRB, between 5 p.m. and 6 a.m., Monday-Friday
  • Hospital Garage after 6 p.m., Monday-Friday, on levels 4, 5, or 6 ONLY, (up until 10 a.m. the following morning), and during weekends and University holidays.

Permits are not valid for parking at:

  • SRB
  • Wilmot Cancer Center
  • Flaum Eye Institute
  • Patient Discharge
  • Kinder Care
  • Emergency Department
  • Strong Behavioral Health
  • Musculoskeletal Lots

If you are visiting as a patient, please call the Parking Management Center at (585) 275-4524 before you arrive to be added to our exemption list for that time.

Daily Permit and Half-Time Remote Permit Options – Medical Center

There are  three permit options for those who are working from home and parking onsite less often:

  1. Remote Permits are for employees who are working from home and at a Medical Center location where a parking permit is required.
  2. Off-site Permits are for employees working at a Medical Center location where a parking permit is required and at locations where a parking permit is not required.

Managers or Supervisors must complete an application to request Remote or Off-Site permits for employees working at a location that requires a parking permit and at one or more locations that do not require a paid parking permit. This permit is not applicable for business meetings and training sessions.

3. Daily Permit
For employees who prefer to pay to park by the day. Permits are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged or returned.

Parking in the Hospital Garage AFTER 6 pm

Employees who have a permit with after-hours access also have the option to park in the hospital garage after 6 p.m., Monday-Friday, on levels 4, 5, or 6 onlyuntil 10 a.m. the next morning, and during weekends and University holidays. Your license plate serves as your parking permit, and the gate arm will automatically raise when you enter and exit the garage There is no need to pull a ticket. If the gate arm doesn’t raise, scan the barcode on your University ID at the entry or exit machine.

Parking in the Hospital Garage BEFORE 6 pm as a Patient or Visitor

Before arriving, employees without a garage permit must call the Parking Office at 585-275-4524. Your vehicle will be placed on the exemption list to ensure you will not receive a citation. Pull an entry ticket when you arrive and pay for parking when you leave.

To use the pay stations:

  1. Take a ticket. Visitors pull a ticket from the dispenser when entering. Make sure you keep your ticket with you.
  2. Pay before, or when, you leave. When leaving the hospital, you can pay with cash, credit, or validation at a pay station. There are stations on the ground and first floors of the garage by the You can also pay from your vehicle in the garage exit lane, where credit card or validation are accepted.

Employee Parking – River Campus

River Campus faculty and staff who want to park on River Campus must register their vehicles and purchase a permit (employees must pay for their own permit). This can be completed through My Parking Online.

Parking is permitted in your assigned zone between 7:30 am and 7:00 pm, Monday – Friday.

Parking at the River Campus is permitted in:

  • Your assigned zone
  • In any lot between 4:00 pm and 7:30 am
  • In any lot on weekends and on University Holidays

Permits are NOT valid for parking in:

  • Reserved spaces
  • Reserved lots
Daily Permit Option – River Campus

A Daily Permit option is available for employees who are working from home and parking onsite less often. Permits are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged or returned.
